Oil Content
Both foundations contain little or no oil. For the normal/dry skin under Revlon Colorstay, the oil content would be to keep dry skin moisturized so that it does not dry out completely.

Skin Type
The Super Stay is suitable for all every skin type. Whether you have oily or dry skin, combination or normal skin, the Super Stay is for you. This is so long as you can find the right shade for you.
The Colorstay, on the other hand, offers foundations for combination/oily skin and normal/dry skin. These skin types cover a huge number of people but not really everyone. However, it is still good news, especially for oily skin, which has a hard time finding a foundation that actually works.
Shades
There are about 28 shades within the Super Stay line of foundations. This is good, considering that it caters to all skin types. But it is still a bit restrictive when compared to other foundations that have so much more shades to offer.
The Colorstay line, however, offers about 43 shades for the combination/oily skin type and 24 shades for the normal/dry skin type. This is a wider array of options to choose from, for customers.
Finish
The Super Stay gives you a more natural finish than the Colorstay. This is true even though the normal/dry skin foundation advertises as giving a natural finish. However, we have to concede that this depends on who wears each and how well they are applied.
The Super Stay could start off as a semi-matte finish, giving a hint of dewiness. But it is not drying and doesn’t give that whole mattified look that full-on matte gives. And as the day wears on, it looks even more natural than when you started out.
For the combination/oily foundation in the Colorstay line, it gives a matte finish. It is not totally drying but gives that velvety look that matte tends to offer.
Sunscreen
Maybelline Super Stay does not come with sunscreen, at least not advertised. It contains a bit of titanium dioxide, which could act as protection from the sun.
On the other hand, Revlon Colorstay contains sunscreen. Most, if not all, of its shades contain broad spectrum SPF 15. The broad spectrum kind is good because it protects from both ultraviolet A rays and ultraviolet B rays.
Blending
